This Site is operated by Hoeksema Woodworking. By visiting our Site or purchasing from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a legal guardian to use this Site.

3. Handcrafted Products & Natural Materials

All products are handcrafted using natural hardwoods.

You acknowledge that:

  • Variations in grain, color, knots, mineral streaks, and texture are natural characteristics, not defects
  • Each item is one-of-a-kind
  • Product photos are representative and not exact replicas

These qualities are the signature of authentic craftsmanship and define the value of handmade work. Hoeksema Woodworking creates functional art meant to be used, lived with, and passed down. Our work prioritizes integrity of materials, time-tested methods, and timeless design over mass production or perfection by machine.

4. Custom & Made-to-Order Items

Custom or made-to-order items:

  • Are final sale 
  • Cannot be canceled once production begins
  • Require customer approval of specifications before work starts and a 50% deposit

By placing a custom order, you accept these conditions.

5. Pricing & Payments

All prices are listed in USD.

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify prices at any time
  • Correct pricing errors, even after an order is placed

Orders are not processed until full payment is received.

6. Shipping & Risk of Loss

Delivery dates are estimates only.

We are not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays
  • Weather disruptions
  • Incorrect shipping information provided by the customer

Risk of loss transfers to the customer once the item is handed to the carrier.

7. Returns & Refunds

Returns are governed by our Returns & Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

8. Care & Use Disclaimer

Wood is a living material.

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Improper care or misuse
  • Exposure to moisture, extreme heat, or direct sunlight
  • Normal wear, aging, or patina

Care instructions must be followed.

9. Intellectual Property

All designs, images, text, logos, and content are the exclusive property of Hoeksema Woodworking.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or resale is prohibited.

10. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Site for unlawful purposes, to violate intellectual property, submit false information, or interfere with Site security.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Georgia law, Hoeksema Woodworking shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hoeksema Woodworking from any claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of our products.

13. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in Georgia state or federal courts.

16. Commercial, Wholesale & Trade Orders

Products purchased for commercial, wholesale, hospitality, retail, staging, or trade use are subject to the following additional terms:

  • Commercial and wholesale orders are final sale
  • No returns, exchanges, or refunds are offered for commercial use items
  • Products used in commercial environments may experience accelerated wear; this is not considered a defect
  • Hoeksema Woodworking makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular commercial purpose

Commercial buyers are responsible for ensuring products are suitable for their intended use.

Wholesale pricing, trade discounts, or bulk orders are offered at our sole discretion and may require written approval. Wholesale orders may be subject to minimum quantities, lead times, and separate payment terms.

By placing a commercial or wholesale order, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
