START WITH THE CONSTRUCTION

Side grain or end grain?

Side grain is the lighter, classic everyday choice. End grain gives you a thicker butcher-block feel and a bold block pattern. Both are solid-hardwood boards built for real kitchen use.

CARE THAT KEEPS HARDWOOD LOOKING ITS BEST

BEFORE YOU BUILD

Cutting board questions

What is the difference between side grain and end grain?

Side grain shows the long face of the wood in strips and offers the widest range of thicknesses and prices. End grain exposes the ends of the wood fibers for a block-style pattern and a heavier butcher-block feel. Both are solid-hardwood boards built for regular kitchen use.

Which size should I choose?

12 × 8 is compact, 15 × 10 is our versatile everyday size, 18 × 12 gives you more prep and serving room, and 20 × 14 is the largest standard option. Custom dimensions can be quoted separately.

Are cutting-board feet included?

Yes. Four non-slip cutting-board feet are included with the standard build.

Can I mix wood species or add Purpleheart?

Yes. Base hardwoods are Hard Maple, Cherry, and Walnut. You can combine species, and Purpleheart is available as an accent rather than a full-board base species.

Can you engrave a name, logo, or artwork?

Yes. Simple personalization is +$15, logos are +$20, and custom artwork starts at +$25. Upload and text fields appear when the relevant personalization option is selected on the product page.

What does standard shipping cost?

Our current flat shipping rates are $9.95 for Small, $11.95 for Medium, $18.95 for Large, and $21.95 for XL standard boards.

How should I care for the board?

Hand wash, dry promptly, never soak, and never use the dishwasher. Recondition the wood whenever it starts to look dry.

Can I order a custom size or specialty pattern?

Yes. Chaos, Mild Chaos, 3D Cubic, complex geometric layouts, unusual dimensions, and other specialty builds are handled as custom quotes.

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING OUTSIDE THE STANDARD BUILDER?

Specialty patterns are custom quoted

Chaos, Mild Chaos, 3D Cubic, intricate mosaics, unusual dimensions, and one-off visual concepts require different material yields and build time. Send the idea and approximate size, and we’ll quote it as a custom commission.
