I handcraft this cutting board from solid maple, sapele, and walnut, arranging their contrasting tones in a geometric pattern with repeating rectangular accents. I finish each board by hand to highlight the wood’s natural grain, texture, and character.

I choose each piece of wood for its individual character. Light maple accents contrast with warm sapele and dark walnut, while natural grain movement and subtle color shifts give this board its own appearance.

I build my boards for everyday kitchen use, from preparing ingredients to serving at the table. This compact board measures approximately 11 × 9.5 inches and is 1 inch thick.
